Boudoir Photo Ideas For A Swimming Pool

Boudoir photo sessions can take place in all sorts of environments. While many people enjoy being photographed in a stylish bedroom or a luxury bathroom, there are other settings for you to consider. One idea that some people enjoy is a swimming pool setting. If you have an upscale swimming pool in your backyard — or you have a friend who would be willing to let you book a boudoir photo shoot in their pool — this is an option to consider. Many boudoir photographers have experience shooting clients in and around pools, so you'll want to begin discussing some ideas. Here are three pose options.

Floatation Device

There are lots of sexy and fun ways that you can pose in the pool with a flotation device. You may want to shop for a specific flotation device in advance of the shoot — for example, one that is shaped like a unicorn or flamingo. Depending on how much of your body you want to reveal, you have a few options. One idea is to pose topless with the flotation device covering your torso. For something more tame, a shot of you lounging in the flotation device in a sexy swimsuit is an option that you may favor.

Partially Underwater

Another option is to pose with the majority of your body underwater and wearing little to no clothing. Ripples and bubbles in the water can conceal your body so that nothing is perfectly visible, but it will still be evident that you're either nude or almost nude. This can be a sexy and seductive pose to consider. You'll get into the water, perhaps up to your shoulders or neck, while your boudoir photographer will crouch at the side of the pool and snap some shots. They may use an assistant to stir up the water so that it partially conceals your body.

Sexy Swimsuit

If you want a simple and timeless pose, consider buying a special sexy swimsuit to wear for your boudoir photo shoot. You might favor a swimsuit that is more risque than the ones you usually wear to pool parties and the beach, as this will help to give the photo a special look. You can then pose in various ways around the pool deck. For example, you might wish to lie on the pool deck in a seductive manner. If the pool has rock elements, lying on one of the rocks or posing above the waterfall in your swimsuit are also ideas to consider.
