Photos are taken just about anywhere and everywhere these days with the use of cell phone cameras. It's fun to remember those moments with photos you've taken. To help create a more professional-looking photo for your event, create a photo backdrop to have photos taken in front of. If you aren't sure how to make a kid photo backdrop, read on for some ideas. Some are very simple to do, and anyone can do it.

Ribbon, Streamers, Or Fabric Backdrop

If you have some leftover ribbon, streamers or fabric (cut into one inch wide strips) laying around your house, you can create a backdrop. Tie any of these from either a curtain rod or piece of PVC pipe backdrop hanger, or simply tape them to the wall. Hang them high on the wall and allow them to drape low to the floor. Streamers can be twisted to give your backdrop some extra texture. Keep the pieces right next to each other to make it look somewhat full. Make the backdrop about three feet wide to allow space for several people to get into the photo.

White Sheet

If you have a plain white sheet, you can create a backdrop. Hang the sheet up on the wall or on a backdrop hanger, then pull the sheet, so it covers part of the floor as well. A white sheet gives you the opportunity to add anything you want to match with your event. Use a simple vintage chair for a photo shoot, or add paper flowers to the top of the backdrop. You can add vintage superhero sayings to the sheet, or use photo props and just the sheet. A simple white sheet gives you a blank canvas to make it all your own for your particular event.

Chalkboard Backdrop

Using a large piece of cardboard (which you may be able to purchase from your local craft store or hardware store), paint the cardboard with chalkboard paint. Then use a chalkboard marker or white paint to cover the chalkboard backdrop with whatever you want such as "Back To School" and the date or information about your child. You can use this type of backdrop for a graduation, or even a birthday party.

Polaroid Backdrop

Create a Polaroid backdrop using a piece of painted cardboard or a piece of poster board. Cut a large square out of it leaving extra space at the bottom to mimic a Polaroid picture. Hang the piece of cardboard or poster board from the ceiling to allow guests to get behind the "Polaroid." Use photo props to make it fun and take pictures with the backdrop.

Photo backdrops can be made out of just about anything. Create a place for photos to be taken at your next event and make it fun.
