Child photography is a booming field that is used by parents all over. Most parents wish to preserve precious moments of childhood to remember and share as their children grow up. Another form of photography that is seeing more customers is pet photography. Many double-income, no-kid couples and many young, city couples are getting pet photography for their furry children. Therefore, going into pet photography can be a fulfilling and successful career. Here are four things that you need to become a famous pet photographer.

Moveable clothing racks filled with dog clothing

As with child photography, many people want to have wardrobe changes for their pets during photo shoots. For this reason, you should have a rack of dog clothing available for pets to wear during your photo shoots. You want to have choices for every dog from micro chihuahuas to large malamutes. Pairs of accessories that can fit a variety of dogs, such as dog booties, clip on bow ties, and hats are a good investment for photographers that are just starting out.

Quick clamps and tripods galore

When it comes to dogs, you may need to take photographs from farther out in a field with a high up tripod one minute, then switch over to a camera that is on the same ground level as the animal when they are running closer to you. If you want to be able to switch cameras from different tripods to handheld within a second or two, you should invest in camera quick release clamps. This will allow you to switch as necessary to get good quality photos.

Good quality dog treats

Though some owners may be picky about the types of snacks that their dog receives, getting a pack of dog chicken snacks is always a good idea. Dogs will pay attention to snacks and some owners have their animals trained to perform tricks in order to get snack treats. If you have a pack of quality snacks available, it will make it easier to get a cooperative photo completed. Smelling like treats is also a good way to start off getting a dog to trust you.

Hiking boots

If you are going to perform on-location pet photography, you should invest in a good pair of hiking boots. Some pet owners like to take action photos with their pets, such as on a hike, skateboarding around the city, or sitting on a hill during a walk. Invest in a good pair of hiking boots that will stick your feet to the ground and allow you to run or jump at will in order to grab the right shot.
